Kia Mana: A Synergy of Wellbeing

This book will take you on a journey of discovery. It is the author's journey of reflection and inquiry seeking to understand, explain and validate her practice as a Maori nurse working with Maori clients. She has used the research methodology of autoethnography to review her life, revisit significant events, and feel with intensity what she is doing in her nursing practice, reflecting on why it is substantial, beneficial and achieving positive health outcomes. The journey reveals a clearly identifiable intertwined cultural and clinical approach that characterises her practice. Janet Maloney-Moni was the first Maori Nurse Practitioner in Aoteoroa New Zealand.
